about The program
Designed for students willing to gain knowledge regarding the non-profit sector, we provide workshops, mentorships and other resources. Along with an assigned committee member for your team to tailor your experience, whether you want to build a non-profit, or want to join an existing charity.
*The entire 20/21 program will be run online due to the Covid-19 situation
Who is the program for?
The program will run from October to late March. There will be a Christmas break in December as well.
The is a great chance for those who want to start a non-profit, or join and existing charity, to network and learn more on the sector.
Elements of the program
There will be 2 hour workshops every 2 weeks. Each workshop will cover a different topic, have a look at our workshop page to see all the topics. The workshops are two weeks apart to give student time to implement what they’ve learned.
Teams will meet with a mentor at least once on the weeks of between the workshops. Their mentor will be a professional in their social domain.
Professionals in their respective domains who are willing to give advice upon request.
Professionals working the domain the students are building their project in/ do research in. Follows the team throughout the program.
ASSIGNED COMMITTEE MEMBER
A member of the Furity committee will be assigned to each team to ensure engagement and properly tail the program to the team’s needs
Teams will present their social projects to donors, grant makers, mentors, and workshop leads on the last day of the program
